Octoral Octocryl 2K is a high-performance, two-component polyurethane topcoat offering a premium finish with excellent durability and high gloss. Specially formulated for ease of application and reliable results, this system delivers superior protection with consistent colour accuracy from a compact range of base pigments.
Designed to reduce overspray and produce a uniform finish, Octocryl is ideal for professional resprays, repairs, and refinishing work across automotive and industrial sectors.
Mixing & Application:
Standard Mixing Ratio: 2 parts topcoat to 1 part MS hardener (H34 or H35)
Optional Thinner: Up to 10% Uni Thinner for fine tuning
Compatible Additives: Structure coat, elastic, matte, and fleet additives
Spray Setup Recommendations:
HVLP/HE Spray Guns: 1.2–1.4 mm nozzle, 1.8–2.9 bar (26–29 psi)
Pressure Pot Systems: 0.85–1.2 bar
Airless/Airmix Systems: 0.007–0.009″ nozzle, 160–200 bar (40° fan)

Force drying guidance: Half-bake at 60 °C for 4 minutes, full-bake at 80 °C for 8 minutes.
Surface Preparation:
Degrease using an appropriate silicone remover
Sand surface with P400 or finer
Ensure clean, dust-free surface before spraying
Suitable for use on steel, aluminium, GRP, OEM primers, and sound existing finishes
Storage & Shelf Life:
Store between 10–30 °C in original container
Minimum 2 years shelf life unopened
Health & Safety:
Use appropriate PPE including a respirator or fresh-air-fed mask
Follow standard precautions for handling solvent-based paint systems
Not compliant with EU VOC regulations without additives – check local restrictions
